Mars Science Laboratory On Its Way To Mars-
The NASA spacecraft , Mars Science Laboratory and its rover Curiosity, launched from Florida on November 26th, on its way to Mars. The craft along with the rover will arrive at Mars in August of 2012.
The Curiosity rover will deploy to the surface of Mars and land in a region known as Gale crater. This region was selected, due to its target rich environment.
Curiosity is a larger rover than the previous Mars rovers and will be powered by an RTG type power supply, like that of the Viking spacecraft.
